Cozy Cottage Wedding | Intimate Winter Elopement Styled Shoot

Winter Elopement

Everything about this shoot turned out perfectly – we were so lucky to be able to use Chelsea’s private cottage in beautiful Luskville (a close distance to the Gatineau hills). The idea didn’t start out like this at all, but because of COVID, we switched gears entirely and went much simpler with the theme + the venue. Boy were we glad we did! Chelsea had this idea for a minimal, intimate elopement using earth tones and when she approached me about it I was super excited. With the way everything was (is) at the time in between lockdowns, the trend for mini weddings and intimate elopements was growing and this idea made a lot of sense.

Parla Hair and Erin Heather Bridal came together to create a timeless look. Paired with HEIST Jewellery’s rings and handmade necklace, Parla’s hair piece, and Sinders Bridal’s sophisticated wedding gown, Tara-Lynn made for a stunning bride.

Drawing on the winter tones of the season, inspiration came from neutral colours, hazed nights and early mornings, and the natural elegance of deep foliage. Think minimalist and earthy. We used a colour palette of cream, tan, off white grey, sage and olive greens, and blacks.

What better way to bring your elopement ceremony to a close than cozying up with a blanket, reading your vows to one another, and sipping hot chocolate?

And when it gets too chilly outside, head back in to the cozy cottage and take some couple’s portraits by the warm fireplace. Your photographer can direct you if you want or just let you just have your moment with each. Ahhhh I get so many gooey feels from this!
