The Setting

From the moment you arrived as a guest, Katie and Kyle’s wedding spoke volumes with the beautiful venue and its land, as well at a welcoming atmosphere that was full of personal touches. We love that they wanted to do a retro-inspired wedding style; in part influenced by a previous styled shoot we did in Belleville at Venue 1906.

Le Peaches & Cream in Low QC is pretty freakin’ nice. Like look how stunning the property is? The entire space is yours when you book, so the entire massive acreage including the house to sleep and do your getting ready at (sleeps about 18), and the main reception building are just the tip of the iceberg. There’s also a lake, large green space, and area behind the ceremony field that overlooks trees/grass/vibrant nature.

The Ceremony

Their ceremony was a colourful, wonderful, and heartwarming moment. The retro-inspired colours of their wedding party, and the florals from Larkspur Farm was the perfect thing to set the mood for everyone attending. In a world that often races towards the future, there’s something enchanting about stepping back in time, embracing the timeless allure of a vintage retro-inspired wedding. K + K’s friends sang during the signing of the registry – we definitely saw tears all around!

If you noticed with the decor, there were old-fashioned candle holders (taper candlesticks), and carefully curated floral arrangements that helped bring the tables to life. The carefully chosen colour palette, reminiscent of disco hues, lends an air of romance and sophistication to the entire retro-inspired affair.
