Mel & Michael – Old World Glam Wedding

The Setting

From the moment you arrived as a guest, Mel and Michael’s wedding spoke volumes with the beautiful venues of The Knox College Chapel and One King West, creating a sense of grandeur and awe. We love that they wanted to do an old world glam inspired wedding; with classic whites, gold, chinoiserie red, and greens.

Getting Ready + The First Look

The Ceremony

Their ceremony venue was booked for the afternoon, with a 3 hour time slot for set-up, ceremony, and tear down + photos. Guests could park at nearby underground parking at the University of Toronto or take transit easily from downtown. Since the chapel is already beautiful, M + M chose to do minimal decor for the ceremony – focusing on pedestal arrangements at the front near the altar, and some light pew flowers/ribbons down the aisle.

Everything Else After

While family and wedding party took photos, everyone else leisurely made their way to One King West for the reception, including cocktail hour, dinner, a photobooth, and dancing! Guests had the option of valet parking at OKW, transit/Uber, or parking farther down the street. The cocktail hour was upstairs in the Austin Gallery; they then made their way to dinner downstairs in the Grand Banking Hall which has stunning high ceilings, great acoustics, and definitely the old world glam vibe M + M were going for.
