Where to Buy Bridesmaid Dresses

I’m a really big fan of having bridesmaid dresses in the same colour palette, but in different styles. I have always been vocal about loving the variety of dresses and I’m still excited about it these days! People’s bodies are very different and I find doing different styles allows your friends to celebrate your happy nuptials in something that is (hopefully) comfortable for them and fits their body shape! They’ll definitely be more excited if they’re comfortable! Of course, if you’re VERY lucky, all your bridesmaids will be a similar body shape and size and you can put them all in the same style.

Bridesmaid Dresses Online

INTERNATIONAL SELLER: Seeing as things were closed for a while for COVID19 reasons, and there is still some hesitancy to go out, buying dresses online may be a great option for your bridal party! Pictured above, at Jessie and Judah’s wedding, the bridesmaids were able to buy an infinity dress on Etsy in Stone Blue – it is a versatile dress that you could tie up in different styles! Or you can find your own colours HERE. These dresses can be cut to custom lengths and are stretchy so it’s easy to figure out sizes. Keep in mind that this seller is in the USA so there may be custom fees.

LOCAL SELLER: Another online shop that has had a lot of success is 1861.ca which is based out of Montreal. Shipping is really quick and anything over $100 is free shipping. They’ve got some absolutely stunning dresses! Previously, you could take a girls trip and go see the dresses in person at the 3 locations they have in Montreal so when and if it’s safe to do so, it could be a great little getaway! Tid bit: there’s a great Airbnb next to the Mont-Royale Plateau if you have a group of 4! It’s very close walking distance to one of the 1861 storefronts.

AFFORDABLE SELLER: An online retailer that has consistently garnered great reviews is Azazie which is based in California, but has a Canadian version of their site so it’s easy to navigate costs in CAD. Shipping is also easy to calculate and it doesn’t seem like you usually have to pay customs with them. They have a large selection to choose from and you’ll receive your items by Canada Post!

Dresses In Person

OTTAWA: You can still book appointments to try on bridal gowns and bridesmaids dresses! One really great one in the Ottawa and Surrounding Areas is With Love Bridal Boutique. They’re super friendly and have some STUNNING dress lines. ✨Don’t forget to check their social media for up to date notices about what they’re doing during the pandemic. If you’re reading this once the pandemic subsides, it’s a great idea to check their social media anyways for beautiful inspiration and updates!

OTTAWA: Another great local Ottawa and Surrounding Area shop that offers bridesmaid dresses is La Maison Bridal Boutique. This shop is near the airport and it’s easy to book an appointment on their website!

TORONTO: I’m originally from North York, so it should be no surprise that I’m suggesting a bridal boutique in my home town! Madeline’s Boutique is just off HWY 401 and by Yonge and Lawrence Aves. Hit them up for a wide variety of evening and cocktail dresses at a range of price points!

MONTREAL: I mentioned it above and I’ll mention it again. 1861 IS DA BOMB. No seriously, I buy a lot of regular clothes there and their dresses are phenomenal.

These shops are just the tip of the iceberg! Are there shops that you found your bridesmaid dresses at and you loved it so much you just want to share? Comment below!
