Vero & Mat – Farmhouse Wedding with a Boho Twist

summer wedding party portrait

This stunning bride and groom got some of the best summer light for their farmhouse wedding. In a turn of events, there were delays with the bus holding more than half the guests because of a highway accident, so the ceremony was pushed back. As a result, the vendors kept a real close eye on the storm clouds moving in and had all the back up umbrellas out for the DJ, pianist, and wedding party. Nevertheless, the rain held out until the literal minute we finished the ceremony and then poured for a short period during cocktail hour. When the clouds receded, the light left behind gave V + M an excellent backdrop! Afterwards, my team helped to move the ceremony items quickly into the reception hall, including florals, signage, and holding umbrellas over the sound and piano equipment.

The Prep – Naismith House

First of all, FYI, if you are getting married at Evermore, Naismith house that you can rent for the wedding party and family, is absolutely gorgeous! The stone walls and other wood beams have been there since the construction, and since the building is a historic site, not much construction can be done to it. And secondly, it really doesn’t need any changes – it’s a beautiful space to use and sleep over at. We used this space to house the wedding party the night before the wedding and guests the night of.

First Look

First looks are so precious! Above all, you get a moment with you and your love to see each other for the first time on the wedding day, usually with less onlookers as it comes prior to the ceremony. For instance, V + M did their first look near a willow tree outside of the Naismith house while the family and wedding party stayed by the Naismith House.

Farmhouse Wedding with Boho Elements

summer farmhouse wedding ceremony at Evermore

Just a brief walking distance (even 40-50 metres), there is an outdoor ceremony space adjacent to the barn and the high top tent. It’s the perfect space for a wedding ceremony! The inside of the rustic barn was spacious for just under 140 seated guests. More guests were invited later for the dance party once the dance floor opened up.

In conclusion, Isabelle captured these two with beautiful light and angles. Moreover, she was a joy to work with so if you’re looking for a photographer, shoot her a message! Congratulations to this happy couple!
